Welcome to the scheduling website of the West Liberty University Robinson Writing Center where WLU students can make an appointment to work one-on-one with a trained writing consultant! If you are new to our website, click "Register for an account" on the left.

Online Consultations:

The Robinson Writing Center is now offering online writing consultations. Our online consultations work similar to WebEx, Zoom, or Skype. In other words, we are available to video chat with you and offer feedback on your writing during your scheduled time. Students can sign up by logging in on the left and clicking on one of the white squares. Once you sign up for an appointment, you will then need to log back into the system 5-10 minutes befo re your scheduled time, open your appointment form by clicking on the yellow square, and click “Start or Join Online Consultation.” 

View the video below to learn more about our online consultations which allow you to video and text chat with your consultant. Note that you will need to enable your microphone and camera to video chat. You and the consultant will share a “whiteboard” screen where you can work on your writing assignment. This screen will be saved in our system, so you can log back in to see your draft, the consultant’s suggestions (which will be in a different text color), an outline you created together, etc. You can even play back the consultation to see a video of how your writing developed and changed. These online consultations provide students with a great option for support as classes transition to online instruction.

A Note on Online "Walk-Ins": Students are welcome to "walk-in" during open online appointments. For example, if you log into the system at 1:05pm and see that there is an open appointment for 1:00pm, this means that there is a consultant available to work with you. Simply fill out the appointment form, click "Create Appointment," return to the appointment form, and click "Start or Join Online Consultation."

 

Having trouble logging in? Enter your email address below and then click "Reset Password." The system will immediately email you with instructions for changing your password. If you do not receive that email in a few minutes, please check your spam filter.

Receiving unwanted text messages from this system? This system can send appointment reminder and waiting list notifications via text message, but only if a cell phone number and carrier is entered by a client when creating or updating an account on the system.
